Abul Fateh Syed Shah Mohammed Hussaini Al Azhari is a distinguished Azhari islamic scholar, spiritual guide and radiant beacon of knowledge and Sufi tradition. A proud descendant of the holy family of the prophet Muhammad ﷺ and the revered Sufi Saint Hazrat Syed Muhammad ibn Yousuf al-Hussaini Khwaja Bandanawaz Chishti (رحمة الله عليه) known as Gesu Daraz (RH), he carries the legacy of divine love, sacred knowledge and servitude. Gesu Daraz was a foremost disciple and spiritual successor of Hazrat Nasiruddin Chiragh Dehlavi (RH), and secured a permanent place in the golden chain of spiritual transmission of the Chishti Sufi order.

What else distinguishes AbulFateh Syed Shah Mohammed Hussaini Al Azhari from others is his blessed lineage, he is also the grandson of the great Sufi scholar Hazrat Syed Shah Habeeb Mohammed Al Hussaini Al Qadri Al Chisti, famously known as Peer Zaidi Bandanawazi and the eldest son of his spiritual father and guide, Syed Shah Taher Mohammed Al Hussaini Al Qadri Al Chisti and Brother of Syed Shah Hyder Hussaini in USA. His noble lineage not only connects him with great past scholars, past awliya (saints), but still radiates through his current life of scholarship, humility and spirituality.

Education

Educated in the sciences of the Qur’an, Hadith, Fiqh, Arabic language and literature, as well as the sacred art of Qur’anic recitation (Art of Quranic Melodies) and Maqamat at the prestigious Al-Azhar University in Egypt, he has a thorough command of the five major dialects spoken in sub-Saharan Africa, thus allowing him to continue to spread the universal message of Islam, to spread good and to build bridges of understanding that help connect people, nations and cultures through a message of peace, mercy and divine love.

Firmly established in the Chishti Silsila, his teachings focus on inner purification (tazkiyah) and loving Allah unconditionally, and serving creation with unconditional love. From his revelatory lectures seen around the world, soul-stirring vocal recitations never forgotten, and an array of timeless literary writings, he continues to work to revive the hearts of people, educate the minds of all, and assist seekers of truth in navigating life.
